Overview
NCAA Golf is played by men's and women's collegiate teams across Division I, II, and III institutions, competing under the Rules of Golf with NCAA-specific modifications to team format, scoring, and pace of play. Regular-season tournaments and conference championships lead to the NCAA Golf Championship in late May.
How to win
- How to Win — Lowest stroke score wins; team takes best 4 of 5; match play by holes won; ties broken by aggregate or sudden-death.
- Lowest score wins — Individual: lowest total strokes wins; team score sums best 4 of 5 scores per round.
- Match play wins — Most holes won decides match; team result is best of 5 individual matches.
- Tiebreaker Format — Ties resolved by aggregate strokes; championship ties use sudden-death playoff.
