Overview
Skeleton is an individual sliding sport where athletes race head-first and prone on a small sled down an ice track. Competitors aim to record the fastest time, reaching speeds exceeding 140 km/h and enduring G-forces up to 5G in curves. Governed by the IBSF, both men's and women's events are contested at the Olympics.
