Overview
NCAA Women's Rowing is contested by Division I, II, and III institutions each spring. It follows the USRowing and World Rowing technical baseline with NCAA rules for shell classes, qualifying, and team scoring. The NCAA Rowing Championship is held over Memorial Day weekend at varying venues.
How to win
- Winning & team score — Lowest time wins; ties co-place; team points accumulate across all boats, races, and heat rounds.
- Race: lowest finish time wins; ties co-place
- Team scoring: cumulative — Points are totaled across all boats and all races for the championship.
- Heat–repechage–final format — Championship bracket uses heats, repechage rounds, and a final to determine placement.
