Section 5: Rules of Play
Match Length
- 3 rounds × 90 seconds (60-second rest between rounds)
- Championship fights: 3 or 5 rounds (event-dependent)
Permitted Strikes
- Pillow strikes only — swing the pillow at opponent's head + body
- Two-handed pillow grip permitted
- Spinning pillow strikes legal
- Quick combinations + body shots both score
Prohibited Techniques
- No closed-fist punches without pillow
- No kicks, knees, elbows, head-butts
- No takedowns, grappling, or ground fighting
- No striking with pillow already dropped (must regain grip)
- No striking opponent while they are on the canvas
Knockdowns + Knockouts
- Standing 10-count for knockdowns (rare but possible from accumulated body shots + dehydration)
- Three-knockdown rule per round = TKO
- KO = total victory; TKO via referee/doctor stoppage
- Pillow-loss: if a fighter drops their pillow, they have 5 seconds to recover it before referee restart
